Garmin 205 Forerunner Review
Here I want to give you a decent Garmin 205 Review as I believe, along with many people already using this device, that this is one of the best entry level GPS watches available on the market.
Many people find that a GPS watch is an expensive bit of kit for what it’s designed to do however the people who have taken the leap of faith have seen significant improvements in their own fitness levels and find that they get more out of their daily workouts. In this Forerunner 205 review I want to highlight how this device can be used in the real World.
If you’re like the typical dedicated runner you will probably find that your midweek morning runs that start at 6am, because you have to be at work, will be less stronger than your weekend runs where you may start later in the day, because you have no commitments, at say around 9am. Well one thing the Garmin 205 will certainly help you with is making your midweek runs more effective.
This is achieved through use of the Training Center Software that comes as standard with the product. With this software you can record one of your stronger runs and then set it as a Virtual Partner to train against and set a pace for when you’re feeling sluggish.
On top of creating courses via the Training Center Software from past runs you can also edit these courses adding markers and way points and then save the course back to your Garmin Forerunner 205 ready for your next outing.
All this will not only help give more variety to your runs but will also help you to increase your run speed, timing and fitness.
There a couple of negs I must mention in this Garmin 205 review, they are that even though it delivers what it promises the display is smaller than its predecessor which may be difficult for some people with bad eye sight to focus on properly whilst running. Also don’t use bug spray or sun tan lotion near the Forerunner 205 as it will stain the device.
Out of the box, inside your home, the Garmin Forerunner 205 will pick up satellites within less than a couple of minutes. Outdoors it picks up satellites in less time. You may find that when out an about you may lose signal when you go under say an underpass however it will pick up again very quickly once you’ve gone through the underpass.
Although every sports person will find their own uses for the Garmin Forerunner 205 the device does have some really awesome features like; the ability to upload and download courses, create advanced workouts and create competitions against past workouts if only to name just a few of the more useful things the Garmin 205 can do. On top of all of this the Garmin Forerunner 205 will help keep you from getting lost on those really long runs or walks.
Overall if you’re still deliberating whether to test the water and get yourself a GPS watch the Garmin Forerunner 205 is the perfect first time purchase. This device will help you gain massive benefits from your training and will help you increase your all-round fitness levels.
I couldn’t cover everything this device can do in this Garmin Forerunner 205 review however these are just some of the more practical uses that you can use this device for.
So if you’re tired of running the same old run everyday or your sick of pounding miles out on the treadmill inside your local gym get outdoors with the Garmin Forerunner 205. You won’t be disappointed!
